Ahsoka Tano Day is an unofficial fan celebration dedicated to one of the most iconic characters in the Star Wars universe. Ahsoka Day is celebrated annually on January 29th, the day the character was first introduced in 2008.
The official StarWars.com announcement describes her as “eager to prove herself as a worthy Padawan to her bold Master, Anakin Skywalker.” The article also said she was on her way to becoming a worthy Jedi, a prediction that undeniably came true.

Created by Dave Filoni and named by George Lucas, Ahsoka first appeared in the 2008 feature film Star Wars: The Clone Wars. She played a major role in the animated series The Clone Wars and later appeared in episodes of Rebels, The Mandalorian, and The Book of Boba Fett.
Ashley Eckstein voiced Ahsoka in The Clone Wars animated film and the animated series that followed. She later reprised her role in the animated series Rebels and Tales of the Jedi.
Rosario Dawson first debuted as the live-action Ahsoka during the second season of The Mandalorian in 2020. Dawson also portrayed the character in The Book of Boba Fett and will reprise the role again for the Disney+ live-action series Ahsoka in 2023.
The first known Ahsoka Day was on January 29, 2015, created as a social media celebration by Twitter user AhsokaTanosLife. Fans honored the character by sharing photos, quotes, fan art, and messages about how Ahsoka has impacted their lives using the hashtag #AhsokaTanoDay.

Ashley Eckstein first celebrated #AhsokaTanoDay on social media in 2016 and has observed the day every year since. Prior to the actual Ahsoka Day, Ashley often posted about her connection to the character on the Her Universe Twitter account on January 29th.
Rosario Dawson celebrated Ahsoka Day in 2021, sharing a video of her getting into the Ahsoka makeup for her role in The Mandalorian.

Can You Celebrate Ahsoka Tano Day in Galaxy’s Edge?
While there is no official celebration, you can spend Ashoka day inside Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland or Disney World. Many fans will Batuu Bound as Ahsoka or wear their favorite Ahsoka Tano apparel.
If you do plan to spend Ahsoka Day in the parks, remember that this is an unofficial celebration and cast members might be unaware of the day. Also, there are no Ahsoka Tano character appearances in the parks on either coast.
Since 2021, our Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge fan group has hosted #AhsokaTanoDay lightsaber meetups in Walt Disney World. In 2023, we are holding our first coast-to-coast Ahsoka Day meetup, with events taking place at Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California on January 29th.
The Batuu East event in Disney’s Hollywood Studios starts at 8:45 PM Eastern Time. The Batuu West event in Disneyland starts at 7:00 PM Pacific Time. Meet at the TIE Echelon on either coast, with photos to start approximately 15 minutes later.
